Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
BoardGG is a free fan project. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
What we collect
When you sign in we store your email address, and if you use Google sign-in, your name and profile picture from Google. We also store the decks you build and the games you play, so the app works across sessions and devices.
How we use it
Only to run the service: to sign you in, save your decks, host your games, and show your name and avatar to the other players at your table. We never use your data for advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a few processors to operate: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (sign-in emails). Google is used only if you choose Google sign-in. Card data and images come from Scryfall. Each provider only receives what it needs to do its job.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in and one to remember your language. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data, except anything we are legally required to keep.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time from your settings or by contacting us. If you are in the EU or EEA, you have the rights granted by the GDPR.
Contact
If you have any questions about your privacy or your data, you can reach us through the BoardGG community channels.
